Mas pouco efeito teve nas vendas da Wii U.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze ficou na segunda posição no Japão na sua semana de estreia, não tendo folgo suficiente para correr atrás de Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca's Wonderful Mysterious Keys, que vendeu mais 118 mil unidades desde a semana a anterior.

É curioso verificar que Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze teve um efeito positivo, mas ligeiro, nas vendas da Wii U, subindo apenas cerca de 1500 unidades

O resto do Top Software continua denotar uma forte presença da Nintendo 3DS. Dos dez jogos mais vendidos esta semana, oito pertencem à portátil da Nintendo.
