    Developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, the studio behind critically acclaimed titles like From DustTM, Beyond Good & Evil® and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter®, ZombiU puts players in the middle of London circa 2012, where an outbreak has infected the population, destroying their humanity and turning them into mindless monsters preying on the flesh of the few remaining survivors. This fear-fueled first-person shooter takes all the terror, chaos and tension found in the best of the horror genre and adds original interactive elements, including a unique death mechanic that puts players in the body of a different survivor each time they die, allowing them to track and take down their old, infected characters, recover their equipment and see if they can stay alive just a little bit longer this time.

    ZombiU showcases the innovative features of the Nintendo Wii UTM GamePad and creates new game experiences not possible on other consoles.     Estou interessado nesse jogo, parece ser um grande exclusivo e o lançamento da consola vai correr bem.

    ZombiU Sprinkles Dead Island With A Liberal Dose of Dark Souls. In Other Words, It’s Rad

    Let's bullet-point this mother, because I wanna get the facts to you guys in the easiest way possible. Let's start with the interesting, roguelike way the game deals with player death:


    When you make a character, one is randomly generated for you—there is no main character. You give it your playertag, but it gets a name of its own—I say "it," because it can be a man or a woman.


    If you die (and you will die), you respawn as a new character.


    Each game begins in a central hub, but the world is largely open. You can go anywhere, and objectives that you complete with past characters are still completed.


    Best of all, when you die, your past character becomes a zombie, so you can go find them in your next game and kill them and reclaim the gear you got on your last playthrough.


    It saves your stats, so you can always tell how long you've lived, for example. There will be an achievement for finishing the game entirely in one life, since of course there will be people who pull that off.


    There can only be one of your past-life zombies in the game at a time, but as you play online, your online friends' zombies will also enter your game. You'll see their playertag over their zombies. Ha!


    When I played, I had to go get some medicine for a character named Vikram—I almost made it out, but right at the door I finally got killed. My next life, a female character, then hopped right in the door, killed the zombie and the zombified version of my past character, picked up the medicine and was able to finish the mission. That? Is cool as hell.







    Now let's talk a bit about the touch-screen, which does a remarkable job of immersing you in the game and making things scarier.

    The screen serves as your inventory, as well as your interface for lockpicking, keypad hacking, etc.


    The reason this is cool is that when you go into your backpack or loot a body or container, the camera pops out of first-person, and the game keeps going. Therefore you can see if a zombie is coming up behind you as you hack/loot/rummage.


    As you play, the screen is a minimap and a motion detector, which lets you pick up zombies relative to your location. Don't think that makes things easier—between the time required to look down and the general unreliability of the minimap (it doesn't give away the great jump-scares), you're still very much in survival-horror mode.


    It's remarkable how intense it feels to look down into your inventory and then have to look back up to check your surroundings—it makes rooting around in your backpack during the zombie apocalypse feel like… well, rooting around in your backpack during a zombie apocalypse.


    Lockpicking is similar to other games' lockpicking mechanics, and uses the touch-screen and vibration to lock tumblers into place.
    There is also a scanner, which lets you scan things in the environment. When you pull out your scanner (using the left shoulder button) the camera goes to third person again and the controller's screen becomes first-person.


    You can use the touch-screen to scan bodies, containers, and other things in the environment to tell more about them.






    And last, some general things I noticed:

    It would appear that every character is guided by the same voice on the other end of the radio—it sounds like there was some sort of outbreak, but that it was planned for. That's why supplies are placed all around.
    At one point, things went totally batshit—the power went out, and my scanner and minimap stopped working.
    I literally yelled twice from jump-scares. In fairness, I have had a TON of coffee today. But it was a whole lot of fun.
    When things went haywire, I was forced to fight a special zombie called "Nurse" in an enclosed area. She could teleport, and would vanish as I shot her before reappearing behind me. It was unnerving, particularly because she wouldn't stop screaming.
    Once I killed the nurse, I had to scan her with the controller screen… but she JUMPED THE EFF OUT AT ME THROUGH THE SCREEN and scared the bejesus out of me.
    Sorry for the unprofessional all-caps. It was really cool, is all.

    ZombiU: Proof that Wii U’s Concept Works
    Why Ubisoft’s survival shooter is precisely what Nintendo needs.



    "While your television gives you a third-person view of your character looking around, your Pad’s monitor gives you a purple-hued perspective of the world, allowing you to see objects tucked in corners and crevices. You’re also able to see messages and directions written on the walls, signals that aren’t ordinarily visible, which will allow you to discover secrets and valuable caches of ammunition and supplies.

    The game begs you to explore, to find things you shouldn’t be able to find. You’re a survivor and need to find every small advantage you can, one bullet at a time. ZombiU punishes you by offering a small glimpse of hope, giving you the barest amount of weaponry possible, luring you into feeling safe before suddenly snatching it away.

    Do you dare take time to scan for secrets?

    This isn’t a game where you try to go toe-to-toe with zombies. There is no overwhelming arsenal to be had, no safe haven that can repeatedly heal you. Death is permanent. While ZombiU features an upgrade system for your abilities and weaponry, if you die, your personal benefits are lost. If you’re lucky, you can maybe recover some of your guns off the reanimated corpse of your former character, but you won’t get everything. And there’s a chance that your blood, sweat and tears will be for nothing, forcing you to confront the fact that your hopes of surviving in this apocalyptic world are terribly, most unfortunately slim.

    The zombies don’t make things any easier. A basic conflict with one of these shambling horrors is tough enough. You can try to be patient, and you can try to get headshots, but often it doesn’t matter. Chances are you’ll have to pull out your cricket bat and risk physical confrontation. You probably won’t emerge unscathed, but you have no other choice. It’s kill or be eaten in ZombiU.

    Even scarier, ZombiU features multiple types of enemies. Just as you start to get comfortable with a typical undead monster, they start to spit at you, meaning not even keeping your distance will afford you a reprieve. They might also be wearing tactical riot gear, meaning they have helmets and body armor. In a game where five bullets is considered an abundance of protection, the fact that a head shot will barely slow down an enemy is a merciless shift in advantage.

    ZombiU will tear at you. Its ability to strip away the standards of zombie games, making you always question whether you have enough ammo, and punishing you severely for arrogant, swift actions, is entirely addictive. You eagerly jump back into the fray, knowing full well your chances of survival are slim. Whether or not you will die is never a question."

    Tem sido essa a tendência: de um lado, o 4.5 da Gamespot, o 50 da Game Informer e o 63 da IGN. Do outro, o 7 da Edge, o 80 da Destructoid e o 9 da Eurogamer. Que discordância que para aqui vai.

    wow, wow, wow....melhor survival horror que joguei nos últimos anos.
    Problemas á parte a ubisoft fez um jogo com tudo o que prometeu. É um puro survival horror, já não me lembrava de estar a jogar com um sorriso na cara á muito tempo.



    A apresentação é simplesmente brutal, parece mesmo um filme de horror, o ambiente espetacular, a maneira como se usa o gamepad para certas coisas....lindo.


    Claro que se pode empurrar zombies, mas quem pensa que pode se safar estilo Dead Rising está bem enganado, um zombie ia á rambo, dois empurrava e rezava pelo melhor, mais de três fugia a sete pés sempre com o coração aos saltos, tipico jogo de pensar primeiro, executar depois. Morri umas 4/5 vezes ao inicio, depois comecei a pensar mais como se estivesse numa situação real, ter cuidado para não fazer barulho, ter sempre atenção em sítios apertados etc, etc.
    Para quem quiser ajudas para o modo de combate, apenas digo, pensem primeiro para onde fugir, apenas em ultimo recurso arrisquem tudo.


    Duas vezes já com algum tempo de jogo estava bem encaminhado e depois por uma somples distração deitei tudo a perder. Zombies esquivam-se, atacam pelas costas... fazem coisas que não estava nada á espera.




    Point is o jogo é o melhor Survival Horror dos últimos anos e uma verdadeira homenagem aos old school survival horror. O jogo tem uma atmosfera simplesmente ridícula no bom sentido.


    Apenas não gostei de alguns glitches, o balance das armas também podia estar melhor. Para um primeiro jogo, para uma nova consola, foi um bom esforço. Para quem anda descontente com o mercado survival horror dos últimos anos, aproveite, a WiiU começou muito bem.

    Não passei tempo suficiente com a wiiU para falar com ela.

    Zombi U um completo fracasso. Recebeu 4.5 na gamespot, no user score 6.8, na metacritic 74 e quem lhe deu a melhor nota foi a NintendoWorldReport.Acho que quem vai safar a nintendo vao ser novamente os PUTOS!!!!!!!
